Your cleaning will start by removing plaque and tartar buildup from your enamel, which can be difficult to remove with daily brushing and flossing. Special tools are used to scale the buildup without harming the teeth. We use Piezon tools on each tooth to break up tartar and plaque with a lubricating mist and high-speed vibrations. Then, we use hand tools to remove the remaining pieces. After your teeth have been cleaned, we carefully polish the enamel to strengthen it and remove stains. We can apply a fluoride treatment after your cleaning upon request (or if needed).
