You can schedule your whitening treatment with your biannual cleaning at Contemporary Dental Health The Center for Advanced Dentistry. This will eliminate tartar and plaque so the whitening treatment is more effective. For Zoom QuickPro, every tooth is painted with whitening varnish and then covered with a protective sealant. You can leave after every tooth has been treated. You’ll be instructed to brush your teeth after about a half-hour to remove the varnish.
For Zoom WhiteSpeed, a whitening gel will be applied to each tooth. A special light will activate the whitening treatment. This process takes around 45 minutes. We’ll then remove the whitening gel and apply a post-treatment gel to minimize sensitivity and strengthen your enamel.
We’ll provide instructions on how to care for your teeth at home, including frequent brushing, flossing, and mouthwash rinses. Scheduling cleanings at our Lake Oswego, OR office can also help keep your teeth polished and healthy. Try to avoid staining drinks, foods, and tobacco products to keep your enamel bright. You can refresh your results with at-home whitening kits and get another treatment in our office as needed.
